With village life largely unchanged for centuries & former hill stations still preserving ancient heritage, the Himalayas are a place to lose all sense of time, walking through small, friendly villages, or taking relaxing  breaks in some unique & wonderful hotels with magnificent views. From the snow-clad mountains, when the snows melt, one sees beautiful waterfalls & gurgling crystal clear mountain streams. Near water sources of streams & rivers are human habitations with pockets of rich cultivated green fields, fruit orchards and wild exotic plants used for preparing herbal medications.

Crisp, pine-fresh air, the magnificent vista of the Dhauladhar Mountains, a delightful selection of cuisines, stories and colours and spiritual immersion make Dharamshala & Palampur an engaging destination. Crossing over the Rohtang Pass (13,050ft) offers great views of the Pir Panjal range, the landscape here is breath taking as one sees well-defined snow capped peaks & the Beas River with its clear water meandering through the town. On the other side of the river are deodar & pine trees, stepped fields & fruit orchards.
