Day 2: KATHMANDU- Breakfast. Morning tour of the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa and the city. The Durbar Square served as the main city square of ancient Kathmandu with the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, built by Pratap Malla, one the greatest lovers of art to have ruled Kathmandu. About 2000 years old, Swayambhunath is perched on a hillock on the south-western edge of Kathmandu. The stupa, is a dome 20 meters in diameter and 32 meters high and is made of brick and earth mounted by a conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Afternoon tour of Patan, located on the southern banks of the Bagmati River, is one of the three main cities in Kathmandu Valley. Patan is famous for its amazing collection of fantastically carved temples, palace courtyards, water spouts, public baths and houses with their equally elaborate wood, stone and metal carvings under the patronages of the Kirat, Lichivi and Malla kings. Day 3: KATHMANDU/CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK- Breakfast. Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Chitwan National Park. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Chitwan National Park is one of the largest forests regions in Asia teaming with wildlife such as the rare one-horned rhinoceros, several species of deer, sloth bear, leopard, wild boar, fresh water, dolphin, crocodile, more than 350 species of birds and the elusive Bengal tiger. Chitwan National Park is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site (natural) list. After lunch, enjoy elephant back excursions, nature walks, canoe trips and jungle treks. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 4: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK- Breakfast. Morning and Afternoon enjoy elephant back excursions, nature walks, canoe trips and jungle treks. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 5: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK/POKHARA- Breakfast. Morning drive to Pokhara valley. one of Nepal’s most idyllic cities. Its natural beauty and charm continues to inspire poets and songwriters for many years now. The mountains, caves, gorges, rivers, and lakes have been poetically linked to wide range of state of human emotions. It is Nepal’s largest city from where three of the over 8000 meters high mountains can be viewed at a close proximity for almost eight months a year. Rising from an elevation of 700-1100 meters the nature gifted caves, lakes, gorges, and canyons fascinates any nature lover. Afternoon tour of Pokhara and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Phewa. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 6: POKHARA- Breakfast. Enjoy a short trek to Sarangkot (1500 meters) with packed lunch. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the Pokhara valley on your own. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 7: POKHARA/KATHMANDU/NAGARKOT- Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Continue on your drive to Nagarkot visiting en route Bhaktapur, a medieval city where the Newars, the main inhabitants still follow age old traditions and customs. It houses some of the best examples of Nepali craftsmanship on wood and stone such as the Palace of 55 Windows built in 1697, the five storied Nyatapola Temple, the Kashi Biswanath Temple, and the Dattatreya Temple among many others. Then visit Nagarkot that offers the impressive and inspiring views of the Himalayas (view subject to favourable weather conditions). Nagarkot is a rustic place at a height on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley, with an outstanding views of famous Himalayas, breathtaking mountain landscapes and the most impressive views of sunrise and sunset. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 8: NAGARKOT/KATHMANDU/DEPART- At dawn we take a short walk to enjoy an impressive and inspiring views of the Himalayas (view subject to favorable weather conditions). Breakfast. Post breakfast, return to Kathmandu & visit the Boudhanath Stupa. With a base of 82 meters in diameter, Boudhanath is claimed to be the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. Later, transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
