Day 1: Arrive Udaipur- Upon arrival, transfer to your Hotel. Udaipur, often called ‘Venice of the East’ and the ‘City of Lakes’, it is also the centre for performing arts, crafts and its famed miniature paintings. Evening enjoy a folk music & dance performance at “Baghore-ki-Haveli”. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Udaipur- Breakfast. Morning tour of the City Palace, built in a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles on a hill top and offering panoramic views of the Lake Pichola, Lake Palace and the Monsoon Palace. The 300-year-old complex comprises 11 palaces built by its successive Maharanas of the Mewar dynasty, making it by far the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Later, visit the Jagdish Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the heart of the old city, later enjoy a panoramic view of the Fateh Sagar Lake and visit “Sahelion-ki-Bari”, the ‘garden of the maidens’, built in the mid-18th century. Afternoon visit the Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, a hilltop palatial residence of the royal family of Udaipur, overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake. Later in the evening leisurely stroll in the old part of the city and its vibrant bazaars with boutique stores for shopping etc. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3: Udaipur/Jawai Bandh- Breakfast. Morning travel by road to Jawai Bandh (Approx. 140kms/ 3 hours). On arrival, transfer to your Lodge. Lunch included. This is one of the largest water reservoirs in western Rajasthan and is known for attracting a remarkable gathering of migratory and non-migratory bird. Surrounded by billion- year-old granite rock formations, where leopards roam wild and free, coexisting comfortably with the fascinating communities of Rabari herdsman. Your expert guide and tracker will accompany you as you track animals on foot through the wilderness. You may continue your walk exploring the local villages and temples as Jawai’s solitary hills are dotted with temples, shrines and memorials. You may be able to attend the evening aarti (temple prayer) and learn from the locals about how the leopards of Jawai are considered to be the guardians of this area, having a semi- divine status in the eyes of the communities. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy Spa, yoga, or simply take a dip in pool with the view of the wild. Dinner & Overnight at the Lodge or Tented Camp.

Day 4: Jawai Bandh/Ranakpur/Udaipur & Depart- Early morning jeep safari or bicycle ride with a guide to further explore the wilderness. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later return journey to Udaipur by road to visiting en route the 15th century Jain Temple at Ranakpur (only audio-guide at the Temple is permitted). Built in white marble with exquisitely intricate carvings, the temple is unique in its architectural elegance. The entire complex is built on over 40,000 sq.ft. and comprises 29 halls, 5 spires, 32 domes and 1441 pillars. All these architectural elements are covered with carvings in marble that are so delicate that it looks like lacework. It is amazing to find that among hundreds of pillars no two are alike. Transfer directly to Udaipur airport for your homebound flight.
